1. The short version
Today this website sets one cookie, and it is the one that remembers your answer to this question. We load no third-party scripts, no advertising tags and no tracking pixels. Even our fonts are served from our own domain rather than fetched from Google, so visiting this page contacts nobody but us.
We intend to add optional analytics, which is why you were asked. Those will not run — nothing loaded, no identifier created, no request sent — unless you accept them, and you can withdraw at any time using the controls in section 4.
2. What cookies are, and the rule that applies
A cookie is a small piece of text a website asks your browser to store and send back on later visits. Similar technologies — localStorage, session storage, tracking pixels — do the same job by different means, and the law treats them the same way. So do we.
Under the ePrivacy rules as they apply in Cyprus, we may store something on your device without asking only when it is strictly necessary for a service you asked for. Everything else — analytics included — needs your consent first, given by an affirmative act. Silence is not consent, a pre-ticked box is not consent, and continuing to scroll is not consent.

Analytics events are sent to our own domain and forwarded from our server to PostHog in Frankfurt, so your browser never connects to PostHog and your IP address is never passed on— it stops at our server. There are no advertising cookies, and no cookies set by anyone else. We do not run ad networks, retargeting, social media embeds or cross-site tracking of any kind. If that ever changes, this table changes first and you will be asked again.
The Whafy mobile app is separate. It does not use cookies; it stores a sign-in token on your device so you stay logged in, which is strictly necessary for an app you have signed into. What the app collects is covered by the Privacy Policy.
4. Your choice
Change your mind whenever you like. Rejecting takes effect immediately and is exactly as easy as accepting — one tap, in the same place, with no extra steps and no attempt to talk you out of it.

Your choice is stored in a first-party cookie named whafy_consent for six months. Clearing your browser’s cookies clears it, and you will be asked again.
Rejecting analytics does not degrade the site. Nothing here depends on them, and no feature is withheld from anyone who says no.
5. Controlling cookies in your browser
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings — every major browser has a privacy or content-settings panel for it, usually with an option to clear everything for one site.
Be aware that clearing cookies for this site deletes the record of your choice along with everything else, so we will ask you again on your next visit. That is a consequence of the choice being stored in a cookie rather than tied to an account, which is itself the more private arrangement.
